My Statement
I was introduced to yoga, when a good friend of mine asked me to attend one of her classes. By the end of class, I knew that I not only wanted to continue practicing, but wanted to eventually teach yoga, as well. I have now been teaching yoga for over seven years, and aerial and stand up paddleboard yoga for six years.
My original training was through Yoga Faith in Chicago. I have since taken courses with Jason Crandall, who significantly impacted the way I teach. Jason uses new evidence-based information to create yoga curriculum that helps modern practitioners grow and evolve. This approach resonated with my love of learning to improve myself and my classes.
When my students leave my class, I want them to not only be stronger, more flexible, and balanced, but I would like them to have more peace and clarity.
I am an E-RYT200 yoga teacher with over 3000 hours of teaching experience. I am continually learning from experienced instructors and my students. I love when students come to class with new poses, ideas and questions that we can delve into and learn and grow our practices together.
“I’ve been going to Connie’s classes for years. Any other class I’ve been to there’s always that “Connie” element that’s missing. I love how detail oriented she is and how she’s always showing us different variations of the trickier poses so nobody is left out, whether they’re a skilled yogi or a beginner. I’ve tried pretty much all of the different yoga classes she offers and they’re all amazing! I highly recommend not only her regular land yoga, but also her aerial yoga as it adds a nice thrilling feel to your yoga experience. Not to mention her studio and home is amazing!”

“Connie from the Brick House Yoga Studio is one of the most caring and supportive people I know. She speaks calmly, pleasantly guiding her classes in a relaxing and comfortable environment. Her classes have always brought me peace and been a safe place for me whether I needed to stretch out, work out, cry or "just breathe".”
